Who writes this
I'm Matt Werth — a software engineer and photographer in north Wilmington. I spend a lot of time traveling with my family, visiting parks and beaches, and trying to answer the practical questions that come up along the way.
It started with the dog
I wanted to know which Delaware beach he could walk on. I found three different answers, and two were out of date.
That sent me looking for something better: information that tells you when it was checked, who confirmed it, and where it came from.
So that's what I do here. I call the person or agency responsible for the rule, record the date and name, and put that on the page. If I only find the answer on an official website, I say that instead. If something hasn't been checked, I mark it unchecked.
I'd rather have a shorter list of verified information than a bigger list of things I can't stand behind.
Most of the photographs are mine. Where I've used somebody else's, the credit and the license travel with it — the indoor section leans on Wikimedia for places I haven't photographed yet. The day-to-day engineering work is mine too, through Werth Design in Wilmington. Nothing here is sponsored at the moment.
Corrections
If I get something wrong, I want to know. Every page has a quick way to report a correction, and changes are logged.
Where AI fits in
There's one AI feature on the site: Ask. It turns a natural-language question into a search of the site's checked data and writes the short answer at the top.
The AI doesn't create or verify the underlying facts. Those come from the dataset. If Ask disappeared tomorrow, the same checked information would still be there.
That distinction matters here. The whole point is knowing where an answer came from and when someone last checked it.

The site itself is part of the work — structured local data, search, mapping, verification and small tools built around real questions rather than bolted on afterwards. It's designed and built byWerth Design, which is also me.
That relationship buys nothing here. If one of the studio's clients turns up in a listing they're held to the same standard as anyone else, and being a client is never a reason to be covered —the policy is here.
