The Delaware Bird Records Committee added American Flamingo to the state list in 2025, alongside Common Ringed Plover, Townsend's Warbler and Lazuli Bunting. That makes the record real and reviewed. It does not make the flamingo a Delaware bird in any useful sense — it is the kind of entry a state list carries to be complete, not to set an expectation.
