Delaware Museum of Nature & Science

Nature center · Delaware Museum of Nature & Science

The state's natural history museum, on Kennett Pike north of Wilmington. Four galleries, a dinosaur hall, live animal presentations and a Star Lab. It's built for children and doesn't pretend otherwise — under-16s have to have an adult with them the whole way round.

A long low museum building with yellow panels and a sharply angled glass entrance canopy, lawn and driveway in front.

The entrance. The sign in this photograph still reads Delaware Museum of Natural History — the museum was renamed Delaware Museum of Nature & Science after it was taken.
