Two large enclosures with 8-ft fencing. Free tennis balls. The county's amenity scoring puts shade at essentially nothing — there is no relief on a hot afternoon.

State park entry applies: from 1 March 2026, $5 in-state / $10 out-of-state for inland parks. Fees rose in 2026 — older guides quote $4/$8.

Not an enclosed dog run. New Castle County describes an open off-leash field with wooded paths and a pond — which is a different kind of outing, and the wrong one if your dog doesn't recall.
Wilmington identifies this as one of its three off-leash locations. Whether any of it is fenced is unconfirmed — treat it as an off-leash area rather than a dog park until somebody has stood in it.

Four of these are not fenced, which is the single most common way a dog park trip goes wrong — people arrive expecting an enclosure and find an open field. Two of them cost money. One is closed on Sundays. One is private and you can't get in on the day.

Every card shows how many of its eight fields are confirmed. A field reading Not confirmed means I haven't checked it — it doesn't mean the park lacks the thing. Google's posted hours usually belong to the parent park instead of the dog run inside it, which is why so many of these still say not confirmed.
What's missing
I've found no confirmed public dog park in Seaford, Laurel, Georgetown, Smyrna or Bridgeville. If one exists and I've missed it,tell me. Banning Regional Park and the Limestone Road site are listed by other guides but I have not been able to confirm either exists as described, so neither is presented as fact.
